Who makes earth creations® clothing?
We are very proud that our clothing is made here in the USA by people like you and me. We support the Fair Trade and Sweatshop-Free Philosophy for a sustainable living. Our goal is to offer the highest quality products made by fairly paid workers regardless of whether the garments are manufactured in the USA or elsewhere. The earth creations sewing facility, where most of our garments are sewn, is located in rural Alabama. Our employees are paid a fair wage and work in a clean and safe environment. They actually believe in what they do. Hopefully, by providing them with a job, their work will keep a piece of our rural American culture alive. |

How does clay dyeing work?
1. Where does the clay come from? Nature is amazing. During millions of years of geologic development, nature created a variety of colored clays. Some of them are very abundant and present on the surface (red and yellow), and some of them are rare and digging is required to reach them. Both Martin and Joy have spent years looking for good deposits. During any of their outdoor adventures, they always have a bucket ready in their truck, and they have been on the lookout for “good” clay for a long time. The Southeastern section of the USA is rich in geologic history and provides a variety of colors. 2. What is “good” clay? Good clay is fine without larger stones, rich in color, and pure, i.e., not containing veins of other types of clay. 3. How do you get the clay into the clothing? Sometimes grinding is the necessary first step. In the second phase, good blending with water is a must. The mixture is then added to a load soaking wet, unbleached clothing and stirred for about one hour in a large vat. Next, the garments are lifted from the vat and any excess water is removed. Then the dyed clothing travels to dryers. After drying, a rigorous quality inspection takes place. Finally, garments are folded and packaged. 4. Is the dye going to stay there? You bet! Our clay-dyeing process assures lasting color. After several washings, the shade will change slightly like your favorite pair of jeans. |

How do I care for my Earth Creations’ clothing?
1. Washing Instructions Care instructions are located on the label. All garments are pre-shrunk. We suggest turning the garment inside out and washing in cold water with similar colors (no bleach or detergent with bleach). Tumble dry on low heat. Do not iron if imprinted. 2. How do I remove spots? Accidents do happen. We suggest that you use some type of grease-cutting dishwashing liquid. Please do not rub the spot vigorously or the dye will come out. Instead, wipe the spot gently and soak until the spot is gone. You cannot use most stain removers because they contain bleach!! |

Can I get a specific design put on another color or style of shirt?
No. All shirts with designs come as shown and are only available in the color and style of shirt shown on our website or in our catalogue. (Wholesale customers may create custom orders of 73 pieces or more. For custom/namedrop info, please visit the wholesale section on our website.) |

What if I bought an earth creations® garment on vacation or someone gave it to me as a present and it does not fit?
The ideal situation is to return the item where it was purchased. If that is not possible, we will help you exchange it. Items may be exchanged for a different size; however, they cannot be exchanged for a different style or returned to earth creations for credit. Our sizing chart will help you to determine your size. If you prefer credit, please return the item to the store where the garment(s) was purchased. All items sent for exchange must be in their original shape and form (not worn or washed) with the hangtag still attached. Items must be sent within 30 days from the date of purchase (date on receipt) with the receipt. Before sending the garment back to us, please give us a call at 800-792-9868 or email us at earthcreations@earthcreations.net with the reason for the exchange. Items without prior contact may not be accepted for exchange. If applicable, your credit card will be credited upon the receipt of the goods from you. If you are concerned about the item reaching us, we suggest you insure the item before sending it. Ship item(s) to: Exchanges Earth Creations 3056 Mountainview Way Bessemer, AL 35020. Please include a check to cover the shipping cost back to you, and indicate the address to which you want the exchange, and for what you want the item exchanged for. How are Exchanges/Returns with a shipping address outside of the USA handled?
